Cooler people.

Our team is building software that saves, guides and grows any business that ships.

Some things you
should know about us:

At ShipScience, we know businesses need a clearer picture of shipping and logistics to truly grasp their shipping costs and streamline operations. Let’s face it, carriers like UPS and FedEx have crazy-complicated rate structures and not-so-helpful reporting systems, making it super tough to keep vendors accountable and oversee operations.

So, we’re here to save the day with three main goals in mind:

  1. Help businesses slash those shipping costs by really getting down to the nitty-gritty of carrier data and processes.
  2. Automate the pesky, time-consuming tasks that eat away at your precious hours.
  3. Keep all shipping invoices, data, and contract terms tidy and organized, so planning for the future and renewing contracts is a walk in the park.

Our ShipScience crew is a killer combo of e-commerce and tech execs mixed with parcel industry pros – all geared up to create a solution-driven culture that’s in tune with both shippers and carriers.

Curious about how we make the magic happen? Let’s dive into how it works!

Our Mission

We help businesses scale by simplifying the complex world of e-commerce shipping.

We’re dedicated to providing data-driven insights and technology-enabled services that help businesses control shipping costs, make informed decisions, and enhance customer experiences.

Core Values

It all started in 2003.

Before diving into the story of ShipScience, let me take you back to my days at Relectric.com, a B2B e-commerce manufacturing and distribution biz I founded. As we grew, adding more locations, SKUs, and inventory types, shipping turned into a real headache. Despite our best attempts, we just couldn’t nail down time management, opportunity analysis, or expertise. We knew we were missing out on savings, but just couldn’t put our finger on how much or how to get our hands on it.

Fast forward to 2017, when I sold Relectric.com and made it my mission to help e-commerce companies tackle this very problem. We gathered a whopping $1 billion worth of UPS and FedEx shipment data, brought together a dream team of industry experts, developers, and analysts, and started uncovering hidden gems most shippers didn’t even know existed.

And guess what? The results blew us away! We found that we could give almost all shippers some seriously powerful insights, helping them save over 25% on their shipping costs each year. The best part? Many of these changes required zero operational effort. We’re constantly rolling out new products and features to make life easier for e-commerce shippers everywhere.

So, here’s to making shipping a breeze! Cheers!

Doin’ Some Good.

Shipping stuff uses a ton of boxes! In the US alone, we churn out about 29 million tons of corrugated material each year. Some quick math from the EPA shows us that one tree can make around 151.6 boxes, which means we need a whopping 493 million trees to keep up with our annual box-making frenzy (big thanks to packsize.com for the stats!).

But hey, it’s not all doom and gloom. First off, we’re recycling boxes like champs, with a recovery rate soaring above 80% (woohoo!). Plus, there are plenty of amazing organizations out there working tirelessly to plant trees all around the world.

That’s why we’ve teamed up with OneTreePlanted.org, a fantastic non-profit on a mission to reforest our beautiful planet, one tree at a time.

We plant a tree for every ShipScience customer.
